Atlas Terrier

A solid colored Terrier developed from the crossing of many Terrier breeds in the world today.   If you wish to have a Terrier mix (which is exactly what this is) contact your local shelter.

Another of the new crop of vanity breeds, the Atlas Terrier was initiated for the noble reason of creating a Jack Russell Terrier that was not victim to the health issues associated with the piebalding coloration of that breed.  Nevertheless, for all the breeding that will have to be done to develop this "new" breed.  Many many dogs will ultimately be euthanized (either by the breeder or the shelter) because of the inadequate number of homes to house all these animals.  From that, only a very few would be suitable to continue the "breeding program".
