Information on the Banjara Greyhound and its related breeds the Rampur and Mahratta Greyhounds is challenging to find if only because the dogs are still only found in their native, isolated areas. Like all the sighthounds, the Banjara Greyhounds can date back to antiquity but today they lack an organized group to protect their interest and purity. It is unlikely that this breed would be readily available which might be for the best since it would also be virtually impossible for someone to provide reliable information about living with the dogs to their prospective family.
